Queensborough Community College is seeking Adjunct Faculty to teach and perform related instructional duties in Mechanical Engineering Technology . Areas of instruction may include, but are not limited to: engineering mechanics, statics and dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, machine design, manufacturing processes, CAD (AutoCAD/SolidWorks), computer numerical control, materials science, applied mechanics, strength of materials and hands-on laboratory instruction in mechanical systems.
The Engineering Technology Department at Queensborough Community College offers Associate Degree programs in fields including Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Telecommunications Technology, Internet and Information Technology, Engineering Science, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, and Computer Science & Information Security. The department provides well-equipped, state-of-the-art laboratories that support hands-on learning in mechanical systems, fabrication, computer numerical control and computer-aided design. Faculty are expected to contribute to student success through high-quality instruction, laboratory and project-based teaching, curriculum development, and participation in departmental activities. Opportunities may also exist for pedagogical development, industry engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a closely related field. A master?s degree is preferred. Prior teaching experience is highly desirable, particularly at the college level and in laboratory-based courses. Professional industry experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, HVAC systems, robotics, or related fields is strongly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and support student learning in both lecture and lab environments.
COMPENSATION
$112.50
